This project is studying the effects of connecting children with their families and society by using a telepresence system called “Window,” which allows children to share reality and aura and experience a “sense of presence” as if they are in the same space by using a large monitor and high quality speakers. We are studying the effectiveness of this system.

By connecting treatment rooms and waiting areas, treatment wards with visiting rooms and homes, and studios where events are held, we aim to reduce anxiety and increase satisfaction among children and their families by providing live images of the scene and opportunities to interact with family members and others. We will also examine the psychological effects of using the “Window”, such as the impact on the feelings of attachment and development.
