In recent years, overexposure of children to radioactive exposure, especially to CT, has become a worldwide problem. Many risk estimates and cohort studies have reported on the risk of cancer in the future due to CT exposure in childhood. In Japan, the momentum for medical exposure control is growing, and in April 2020, a proposed amendment to the Medical Care Act is being considered that would make it mandatory to record medical exposure doses.
